Midfielders -Kok Swee Nicknamed wizard, this graceful winger with his repertoire of ball tricks often leaves defenders in his wake. -Quan Ming Naturally gifted playmaker with world class ball skills befitting of his "magician" name tag. Able to conjure moments of magic to light up the game. -Hsien Zhe Powerful winger with a rocket of a shot. Able to read the game with acute accuracy, he is our important ball winner.
Defenders -Jeremiah Strongly built, this aerial giant intimidates opponents with his crunching tackles and direct charges at any forward laying siege on our goal. -David Hard tackling and full of running, our star defender is never one to shy away from a crunching tackle. His bullish defending has become a famed trait of his game. -Hsien Wei Highly physical defender who possesses an astute sense of positioning. His ability to pick out open forwards from defence has led to many important goals.

KOK- Available Reason: Having just recovered fully from his beautifying surgery, Tanlex Ferguson expects the magician to work his magic in the upcoming matches. ALBANY- Available but always late as usual Reason: The board is contemplating a fine of "permanent goalkeeping" in a bid to curb his punctuality instincts (or lack of it).

Firstly heres wishing all Devilish Gunners a Happy Lunar New Year! Great news from QM! Rumours that talks are under way for a record breaking deal which would see highly rated goalie Xianglong transfer to DG. It has been a long search for our world class goalie and finally something concrete is coming out!
"We've been searching for a world class goalkeeper since our establishment but most of our efforts have beeen futile. The 1st game of the year proved to b an eventful and explosive 1. Before the game we commenced our jersey presentation and according to general feedback, the team looked great. The launch of our new kit symbolises a giant step forward for the team into the new year. The DG board has come up with several aims for the new year: 1) 100% commitment from team. Goalie rotation system will have a few changes with effect from today. Goalkeeper rotation - Must make at least 1 save to rotate - Last longer than 5 minutes 2) To protect our members from bodily harm caused by over eager opponents, any opposing team deemed too rough in their approach of play will not be entertained. The back up plan for such cases will be a shift to our 2nd home ground at the basketball court. Transfers Arul has impressed in his 2nd round trials. Manager Tanlex ferguson was quoted saying "Arul will bring about a more physical approach to our defensive set up and his 'never-say-die' spirit embodies the Devlish Gunners' ideals." At the board meeting, a bid of S$2.5 million will be tabled for his services and they expect the deal to be wrapped up at the end of the month. Contract terms are still being negotiated with Arul's agent WU ZONG XIAN. Promotions 1) ALBANY as DG player of the year shall be conferred the title of team captain for year 2008. GOH KOK SWEE is hence the vice captain as runner up to the annual polls. 2) FIFA Fairest Player goes to QUAN MING for his outstanding displays of sportsmanship in the year 2007. 3) JEREMIAH and HSIEN ZHE for breaking through into the 1st team in 2007. Congratulations to the above mentioned.

Game on guys! Tentatively on sunday (301207) due to CK having guard duty on saturday. The jerseys are supposedly ready for collection by tuesday, so please wear black shorts for a photo taking on sunday. To Albany and Jeremiah, please pay $30 on the next training session.

The 2007 Devilish Gunners Awards are up for grabs! Who shall reign as the DG Player of the Year? Will it be the much improved Hsien Zhe whose skills have improved tremendously over the past year with his utmost dedication and determination in training? Or is it David, our latest member with his no nonsense brand of defence? Chern Kiat is also in with a shot with his tremendous work rate and dedication with every game. There are the usual favourites like Albany, Quan Ming and Kok Swee with their world class efforts week in week out. Jeremiah could prove to be a dark horse too, given the few games he mustered recently putting in highly impressive defensive performances.
